Nautilus Classic

Here we pay homage to the legendary 50′s era guitars.
A unique interpretation of a traditional style.

Golden era

Building with the 25.5″ (648mm) “F” style scale length on this style of instrument gives a unique voice, although firmly rooted in what you would expect from a set neck guitar of this style it also delivers more. You will find a blend of tight bass response, clear articulation across all strings, smooth sustain and a very open harmonically rich tone.

Carved top

The set neck construction method and scale length encourage the natural resonance of the strings and wood to ring through. And the carved neck to body heel shape allows a very comfortable access to the highest frets.

With a beautiful flamed or quilted carved maple top, a bound fingerboard with genuine mother of pearl crown inlays, it looks and feels familiar in a comforting way and while paying homage to that golden era in history of single cutaway guitars the Nautilus’s original character always shines though.

Black Beauty

The Nautilus Classic is also available as an all mahogany carved top with an Ebony board and genuine mother of pearl Nautilus block inlays reminiscent of the late 50′s customs or 70’s Silver bursts. Authentic multi ply bindings really set off the aesthetics of the custom option.

As Inspiring as it is Toneful

Seth Baccus’ love for his craft translates into a rare attention to detail, but we’re not talking about soulless perfection: there’s a warm heart beating in the Nautilus and it’s a guitar that’s as inspiring as it is toneful. It also has one of our favourite necks of the year and, despite the undoubtedly bling-y boutique vibe of the rippling flametop and high-gloss finish, this feels like a bona fide player’s guitar and no ornament – musically, it opens doors and no mistake.

The Guitar Magazine

Nautilus Classic

After a few weeks with my new Baccus it is clear that this will turn into #1! This is such a weird feeling. Quite simply you have unintentionally built me my ‘perfect’ guitar.

It wasn’t designed to my request or specs, but the neck feels ‘right’ for my left hand, the entire guitar feels right for me. Sonically it covers everything. And acoustically it’s almost like playing piano strings across the neck. The resonance reverberates into your body.

You know how many guitars I’ve bought/sold, actually you have no idea how many LOL!! But this is truly something special. Amazing craftsmanship. It really is the best guitar I’ve ever played
